AI flashcard generator from notes

Turn 20–10,000 characters of notes into 2–3 AI question-and-answer flashcards with source passages. Sign up to save cards, review on fixed dates and get email reminders.

Knowloop turns your notes into questions, reference answers and source passages so you can answer before checking. AI generation requires an account. You can also write cards without notes, or simply save notes. The app is currently free to use.

Example: from algorithm notes to a recall card

Study notes

Inorder traversal of a binary search tree visits the left subtree, root, then right subtree, producing values in ascending order.

Example recall card

In what order does inorder traversal visit a binary search tree?

Reveal answer

Left subtree → root → right subtree.

  1. 1. Paste a focused note

Sign in and create a knowledge item with a title and 20–10,000 characters of notes. Material centred on one learning goal is easier to inspect than unrelated topics combined.

  2. 2. Check two or three flashcards

Read each question, answer and source passage. Edit the draft and select the cards to keep. A quotation is a checkable reference, not a guarantee of correctness.

  3. 3. Save to your learning path

Save the knowledge item and selected cards. The app schedules seven reviews from the original learning time and sends an email when a review is due.

  4. 4. Answer before revealing

Try to answer first, then reveal the reference answer and compare the source. Record recall feedback on each card and complete the review check-in.

What this version supports

  • Text notes are supported; PDF, audio, video and one-click web imports are not available.
  • Each generation produces 2–3 cards. Anki deck imports and exports are not supported.
  • AI generation sends the submitted notes to a model service. Do not include sensitive material that is unsuitable for that processing.
  • Source passages make checking easier; they do not certify either the notes or generated answers.
  • Review dates are fixed. Difficulty feedback does not automatically change later dates.

Common questions

Can I write cards without pasting notes?

Yes. Manual question-and-answer cards do not require notes. AI generation requires 20–10,000 characters of learning notes.

Are generated cards saved automatically?

Inspect and select the cards, then save the knowledge item to your learning path. Generation alone does not create review tasks.

Which languages are supported?

The interface and review emails support English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Emails follow the website language selected while signed in.
